Turkish Course Certificates Awarded in London

Students who completed Turkish courses conducted in London Yunus Emre Institute were awarded with a certfication at the ceremony held ıon June 29, 2015.

In the Turkish courses, conducted in two terms to be in fall and in spring, approximately 200 students were provided education in 2014-2015. The Turkish courses were given by instructors experienced and specialized in their fields, and supported by several activities and interactive methods. The students, who completed the last part of the beginners and intermediate courses as of the term end, were entitled to receive certificates. Students who received education at levels A1, A2, B1 and B2 according to European Language Portfolio and who completed the exams held, received their certificates from the Consul General of Turkey in London, Mr. Emirhan Yorulmazlar; Press Attaché, Mr.Emin Tuğrul; Education Counsellor, Mr. İmdat Pekdemir and Institute Director Mr. Mehmet Şen.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr.Emirhan Yorulmazlar said the following about the Turkish courses being held at London Yunus Emre Institute: “There is a wonderful family environment here and our students who received education here also joined our family”. Yorulmazlar also said that the high-quality Turkish education provided at the Institute contributed to the foreign expansion of our country’s language and culture and also to the strengthening of cultural communication between many students from different nations receiving education in these courses.

At the ceremony, one of the students, Francesco Lo Bello, shared his views about the course and learning Turkish experience by saying “The purpose of each of us for attending Turkish courses is different. But the sincerity here joined us all at one point. We enjoyed and had fun during the term while learning Turkish. We would like to thank our teachers for this wonderful time.”

Turkish taught as a foreign language in these courses which have been conducted for 5 years in London by Yunus Emre Institute, and attracted great interest. For the new courses that will start in September, the interest to the reserved quotas is already at high levels. The courses which bring together many people with different interests from different countries, ages and professions, will enable cultural interaction to strengthen in the upcoming periods and ensure that Turkish reaches the interested people in London which is a multi-cultural world city.
